1. Service Description
MI-BOX Moving & Mobile Storage of Houston ("MI-BOX Houston," "we," "us," or "our") provides portable storage container rental and moving services in the greater Houston, Texas area. Our services include delivery of portable storage containers to your location, on-site storage, storage at our secured facility, and container relocation for local moves.
By using our website, requesting a quote, booking a service, or renting a container, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Rental Terms
- All container rentals are on a month-to-month basis unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Your billing cycle begins on the date your container is delivered.
- Monthly rental payments are due on the same date each month as your original delivery date.
- Rental continues until you request pickup of the container and the container is returned to MI-BOX Houston.
- Pricing quoted is valid for 10 days from the date of the quote. After that period, pricing may be subject to change.
3. Delivery and Pickup
- Delivery and pickup are scheduled based on availability. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your preferred dates.
- You are responsible for ensuring adequate access to the delivery site, including sufficient clearance for our delivery vehicle (minimum 12 feet wide, 12 feet high, and 60 feet of straight-line space).
- The placement location must be on a firm, level surface such as a driveway, concrete pad, or compacted gravel.
- You are responsible for obtaining any permits, HOA approvals, or other authorizations required for container placement at your location.
- If our driver is unable to complete delivery due to site conditions, obstructions, or access issues, a redelivery fee may apply.
- You must be present or designate an authorized representative for delivery and pickup unless placement instructions are provided in advance.
4. Customer Responsibilities
- You are responsible for loading and unloading the container. MI-BOX Houston does not provide labor for loading or unloading.
- Do not exceed the maximum weight limit for your container. The 8' x 16' container has a maximum load capacity of 4,000 lbs. The 8' x 20' container has a maximum load capacity of 5,000 lbs.
- Do not store or transport any of the following prohibited items:
- Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or explosives
- Perishable food items
- Living plants or animals
- Illegal substances or stolen property
- Compressed gases or propane tanks
- Items that produce strong odors or attract pests
- You are responsible for properly securing your belongings inside the container to prevent shifting during transport.
5. Container Care and Damage
MI-BOX containers are delivered in good, clean condition. You are responsible for the care of the container while it is in your possession.
- You are responsible for any damage to the container beyond normal wear and tear, including but not limited to dents, holes, graffiti, stains, or structural damage.
- Do not make any modifications, attachments, or alterations to the container (including drilling, painting, or welding).
- Do not place anything on top of the container.
- Keep the container door securely closed when not loading or unloading to protect your belongings and the container interior.
MI-BOX Houston reserves the right to charge for repairs or replacement costs for damage caused during the rental period.
6. Insurance and Liability
MI-BOX Houston is not responsible for loss or damage to the contents stored in our containers. You are solely responsible for the protection and insurance of your belongings.
- We strongly recommend that you obtain insurance coverage for the contents of your container. Your homeowner's or renter's insurance policy may provide coverage—check with your insurance provider.
- Optional storage protection plans may be available. Ask our team for details.
- MI-BOX Houston is not liable for damage to contents caused by weather, theft, vandalism, pests, mold, mildew, or any other cause.
7. Cancellation and Refunds
- You may cancel a scheduled delivery at no charge if cancellation is made at least 48 hours before the scheduled delivery date.
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before delivery may be subject to a cancellation fee.
- Once a container has been delivered, the delivery fee is non-refundable.
- Monthly rental fees are non-refundable. If you request pickup before the end of your current billing period, no prorated refund will be issued for the remaining days.

8. Payment Terms
- Payment is due at the time of booking for the delivery fee and first month's rent.
- We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and ACH bank transfers.
- Monthly rental payments are automatically charged to your card on file unless other arrangements are made.
- Late payments may be subject to a late fee of $25 or 5% of the amount due, whichever is greater, assessed after a 5-day grace period.
- If payment is not received within 30 days of the due date, MI-BOX Houston reserves the right to restrict access to the container and pursue collection of the outstanding balance.
- All prices are subject to applicable sales tax.
9. SMS / Text Messaging
By providing your phone number and opting in to receive text messages from MI-BOX Moving & Mobile Storage of Houston, you agree to the following:
- Message frequency varies based on your service activity and interactions with us.
- Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out of receiving further text messages. You will receive a one-time confirmation and no further texts will be sent.
- Reply HELP to any message for support, or call us at (713) 929-6051.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Your consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
10. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MI-BOX Moving & Mobile Storage of Houston, its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our services, including but not limited to loss of or damage to stored contents, business interruption, or loss of profits.
Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to MI-BOX Houston during the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
